1965 Pontiac 2+2 Hardtop

Rare car documented by PHS Documentation and copy of the original window sticker. Car was delivered new to Frank Woods Pontiac in Charlotte, NC and was likely a “loss leader” as it was only equipped with the 2 + 2 package (which included a 421 V-8 plus a 3-Speed manual transmission with a floor-mounted Hurst shifter), an AM radio, and white wall tires. Subsequent owners/collectors have added much needed power steering, tinted windshield, clock, OEM floor mats, and all five “8-Lug” wheels. Car was driven some 400 miles round trip to Myrtle Beach Rod Run in March, 2024.  Documentation included allows that the car spent most of its life in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Most recent collector performed a mechanical and cosmetic restoration including, but not limited to, rebuild the original engine adding a small cam and headers, repaint the entire car in the original color of Candlelight Cream (yellow), rebuild suspension & front end, brakes, new dual exhaust, 5 new radial tires, replate bumpers, new emblems, more. Bucket seat interior is original except for new carpet.  Car starts, runs, and sounds good. Engine is powerful and the car is a joy to drive. Undercarriage is dry and free of any rust or rust repair.

You can literally fly in and drive this one home!!
