1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

Same owner for the last 15 plus years and has been sparingly driven for approximately 500 miles since purchased.  It has been garage kept and professionally maintained and serviced annually. The correct “A” code Raven Black exterior shows very well and one would never guess that it was restored over 17 years ago. The signature Black and White interior looks as if it was just completed.

The “Porthole” hardtop was added for personal taste. The Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels and wide whitewall radial tires are almost as new. V-8 and automatic transmission. For dependability, the carburetor has been upgraded along with a 12 volt alternator charging system.  Doors, hood, and trunk fit very nicely and the car runs and drives really well.  Paint is very slick.

A loving wife in Matthews, NC  purchased this T-Bird in 2004 for her husband as they were married in 1955, and they enjoyed cars shows and local cruise-in’s.  Unfortunately, the gentleman passed away in 2006 and his widow finally decided to let someone else enjoy their beloved “Baby Bird.” We acquired it at an Auction in June.  This is a very solid example of the first year of the famous Thunderbird  that needs basically nothing but gasoline to be driven and enjoyed.
